Last October, we had the luck to be able to get tickets to this event in Reno. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s coming soon to a location close to home. Everyone should experience this at least once in their life, if you can get to it. It’ll leave tingles through your body as you watch the lanterns light up and float away, and you’ll want to hug whoever is standing next to you (and steal their s’mores if they’re nearby).
Logistics of the night: We each received boxes with s’more supplies, a lighter and markers. They also had fire pits and provided the wood for burning. You need to bring your own food and drinks and seating and/or blankets. There were food vendors available but not many. There was also music, and it’s spread out enough that people are not sitting shoulder to shoulder. The event is great for both kids and adults.
