It’s like an amusement park for geeks, but so fun to look at that it’s not just for geeks. We unfortunately were there on a weekend when we were not able to go inside and tour it (I know someone who knows someone, and last I recall, in order to get a tour, you need to know someone, I don’t believe they’ll just give you a tour if you walk in).
The bikes are for anyone to ride on. We contemplated riding off with them, but being Google, there’s probably a GPS attached to it somewhere and they’ll track you down. I spied some interesting looking vehicles down in the parking garage which looked like the round bikes they sit on to have their meetings outdoors. The place is colorful and cheerful. They have an onsite trailer for haircuts (so you can do this during lunch and not leave work early to do this) and there’s even a nature trail as they’re into environmental efforts to better the world.
The campus is large, so you have to be willing to walk a lot or drive to some of the other areas. The older side appears to be where the statues representing their Android operating systems exist. I highly recommend a visit to this place if you’re in the Silicon Valley area.
